Amaze-Bobb lived 10 years of torturous neglect on the streets of Los Angeles. Taken by animal control in January, he went to Synergy Animal Rescue in San Diego. Years of abuse led to two of his legs self-amputating due to matted fur cutting off circulation. His teeth were rotten, and he only has four left.
My husband and I fostered Bobb after his rescue and fell in love with his indomitable spirit. We adopted him officially in June when Synergy’s director, Carla, flew him to us. Bobb joined our family of two Siberian Huskies and two cats.
Bobb lived 10 years without a haircut, owned by homeless people who never groomed him. His tightly matted fur self-amputated two of his legs. He also had most of his teeth pulled due to rot. Synergy Animal Rescue took him in on January 29th.
We fostered Bobb, providing a calm place to rest and recover. After moving out of state, we made the adoption official in late June. Bobb continued to heal and spread his message of strength and compassion by visiting people with special needs.
In May, Bobb got very sick due to an abscess, almost ending his journey, but he made a full recovery. We had to push his flight date to ensure he was healthy enough to travel. Carla flew with Bobb to Denver on June 29th, and he remembered us with excitement.
Bobb enjoys adventures with our Huskies and has made new friends everywhere. Unfortunately, he cannot get prosthetics as it would cause him pain. I’m a professional dog trainer and work with him daily to get used to grooming.
